Russia invaded Ukraine to destroy our independence, erase our culture, and rewrite our future. But Ukrainians refused to surrender. Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians took up arms to protect our country’s sovereignty, language, culture, and democratic future. They left their homes – to protect them.
They invaded. We resisted. We still do.
